A Worship Definition
Worship is the right, fitting, and delightful response of moral beings––angelic and human––to God the Creator, Redeemer and Consummator, for who he is as one eternal God in three persons––Father, Son, and Holy Spirit––and for what he has done in creation and redemption, and for what he will do in the coming consummation, to whom be all praise and glory, now and forever, world without end. Amen.1
What is worship? How can we approach a holy God in worship in our daily lives and when we gather as a church? Why do we do what we do in a Sunday morning service? What is the heart of worship and the heart of a worship leader? What place should the gospel have in gathered worship? What is the role of the Holy Spirit in gathered worship?
In this series of labs, we will aim to discuss and answer these questions for the building up of the church and to further develop leaders for worship ministry.
