Adult discipleship
adult discipleship
As we go about our week, it is easy to lose sight of the gospel. We desperately need to set our gaze on Jesus for our own sanity and clarity. What if––as a church––we proactively fixed our eyes on Jesus in the middle of the week? What would happen?
That is why we are excited to announce a new initiative called Wednesday Focus. Wednesday Focus will be an avenue for youth and adult discipleship to focus on Jesus together as a church family.
To accomplish that, this evening will focus on three things: prayer, worship, and training.
The evening will kick off with prayer, giving people an opportunity to pray for one another, our church, and our world. Meanwhile, the youth will kick off the night with games, icebreakers, and fun. Then youth and adults will gather together for worship through song in the sanctuary. This is an opportunity to sing together, encourage one another, and lift high the name of Jesus.
Then youth and adults can experience discipleship training. The youth will pursue Jesus and one another through the word and fellowship. During that time, the adults will gather for biblical training on various topics to help them grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus.
