"Resurrection Hope"

Christ is Risen! Is there any greater news in the world? Of course not. But if we are honest with ourselves, in a world that is full of sorrow, sin and suffering it's not always easy to embrace the hope of the resurrection. Fear can easily seep into our souls and snuff out the hope that is ours in Christ. We profess that Jesus is risen, but we often ask, "Is there any hope?" This is why we need Easter Sunday so badly. This is why we need to be reminded of the good news of the gospel every week. This sermon is from 1 Corinthians 15 where the apostle Paul celebrates the resurrection of the Son of God and the hope that we have because of that. The resurrection is not wishful thinking. It's not a myth. It's a fact. It's reality. And it's a reality that guarantees that, as J. R. R. Tolkien says, "Everything sad will one day become untrue." Let's celebrate the Triumph of Jesus over sin and death!
