"Peace On Earth"

In this sermon, we celebrate our Christmas Eve services together as a Church Family. The traditional theme of the fourth and last Sunday of Advent is Peace On Earth. That’s our theme. The host of angels that gather over Bethlehem announcing the birth of the Savior who is “Christ the Lord” erupt in praise declaring these famous Christmas words: “Glory to God in the highest and on earth, peace among those with whom He is pleased.” That is what we are coming to celebrate together this Christmas Eve: God’s peace granted in the person of His Son. In a world that has been ravaged by war and sin and increased alienation from God, we are coming together to rejoice and to give glory to God for the gift of His Son who is Isaiah’s Prince of Peace. Do you have peace? Do you want real and lasting peace in your life? We are going to sing together. We are going to hear the words of the Christmas story. We are going to seek God’s peace together as we celebrate the gift of unshakeable and eternal peace in the child born in Bethlehem.
