"O Worship the King"
This is the third Sunday of Advent. The theme of this day is Joy. In our Christmas sermon series, we will be looking at the coming of the Magi from the East. They are looking for the one who has been born “King of the Jews.” They have come to worship Him. In Matthew 2:1-12, we are told that when they saw the star over Bethlehem, “they rejoiced exceedingly with great rejoicing.” Do you have that kind of joy over the prospect of seeing Jesus? Do you come to worship with that kind of expectation? Our sermon is called “O Worship the King”. Worship is the joyous response of those who have sought Jesus and found Him to be all that they have been told…and more. Come seeking Jesus. Come with a heart’s desire to have your heart set aflame with joy and affection as we encounter Christ in the story of the Magi. Pray that Christ would meet with us and change us forever.
