November 1, 2020 "Why We Need to Revive Our Commitment to Global Missions

This week is the beginning of Missions Week at Waterbrooke Church. Missions depends upon the local church. However, it is equally true that the church depends upon missions and missionaries. Far more than most of us realize, God intends that the relationship between a local church and her global missionaries be active, direct, and consistent. In our time of worship together this Sunday, we are going to study Philippians 4:10-20 and prayerfully examine why the church really needs missions and really, really needs missionaries. We are going to try to quickly eradicate the false notion that missionaries are the sole recipients of our kindness and generosity. We are going to seek to confess clearly and to recognize biblically that missions and missionaries do far more for the local church that we often consider. This Sunday’s message is entitled, Why We Need to Revive Our Commitment to Global Missions. I think we are going to find this passage super helpful in changing the way we think about missions. May God to do great things in and through Waterbrooke for the joy of the nations!
